A stroke can either kill you or leave you inflicted with long-term harm and discomfort. The two kinds of stroke are:

1. Hemorrhagic Stroke
2. Ischemic Stroke
The most common one is ischemic stroke. This is when a blood clot in a vessel; thus stop the blood from flowing into your brain.
As for hemorrhagic stroke, it is when a blood vessel in your brain bursts or ruptures. As a result, it causes swelling and buildup a collection of blood outside a blood vessel, aka hematoma or haematoma.

What are the early warning signs of a stroke?

Signs Of Having A Stroke Acronym
The four tasks to check whether one is going to have a stroke. They are: S-T-R-T.
S - Ask the person to Smile.
T - Ask the person to Talk or speak a simple short sentence. This is to check for coherence.
R - Ask the person to Raise both arms.
T - Ask the person to stick out his/her Tongue. Check whether the tongue is able to stick out in the middle of the mouth. If it falls to one side, that is also a sign of a stroke.
The important thing is to learn to recognize these symptoms of a stroke. I am told that if we can rush a potential victim within three hours, the doctors could possibly able to reverse the effects of a stroke. But not one hundred per cent guarantee.
