Never Drink A Pitcher Of Tea A Day Or You May Have Rare Bone Disease Someday

We have read about the benefits of drinking green tea. Now I read a news report that a 47-year-old Detroit woman who developed a very rare bone disease after she has been drinking a pitcher of tea daily for the past 17 years.

This tea-drinking lady was having pain in her lower back, arms, legs and hips for five years. Her X-rays showed she has a very dense bone on the spinal vertebrae and calcifications of ligaments in her arm.

The researchers suspected the patient has skeletal fluorosis. It is a bone disease caused by taking in too much fluoride. Floride is a mineral can be found in tea and drinking water.

According to the researchers, her blood levels of fluoride were four times higher than what would be considered normal.

My personal view is moderation. No matter what you have read or heard from the health journals, it is wise to take things in moderation. Do not follow blindly to all these latest medical findings or research. [source]
