Whether one is envious or jealous, he or she will experience anxiety, negative thoughts and uneasy feelings; obsessively thinking about the person or events.
According to philosopher John Rawls, jealousy involves the wish to keep what one has and envy the wish to get what one does not have.
I know at times it is rather difficult to hold down our feelings of envy or jealousy. But as we know these resentful emotions are not good or healthy for us. So, the next time when you are feeling jealous or envious of someone, get hold on to yourself and inwardly tell yourself to snap out of it.
